Hi I'm Emma

I grew up in Salem, Utah. Serving in the Texas Houston Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Houston, Texas! Previous to my mission, I attended Brigham Young University as a Political Science Major. In high school, I played varsity volleyball, was a student body officer on Student Government, and sang in advanced choirs. I'm prone to taking spontaneous hikes and trips to the BYU Creamery. You can catch me humming songs or drawing random quotes on napkins. I'm the one who loses their voice at sporting events and goes all-out for family and friend birthdays. Life isn't complete without chocolate... lots of chocolate. That about sums it up!

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that families can be together forever; throughout all eternity. It comes through proper authority and in proper settings, but families can indeed be connected beyond this mortal experience. I was adopted when I was 6 months old, and it's through this proper authority that my family is linked to one another and will be beyond the grave.

How I live my faith

"But charity is the pure love of Christ." I believe and try to live by this principle. The way I can best show my love for my Savior is through serving his children; especially those who otherwise wouldn't be able to help themselves. I was the Make-A-Wish representative for my high school and was privileged to help grant the wishes (trips to Disneyland, becoming a film director, and exploring castles in Germany) for three kids with a critical illness over three years through a school wide fundraisers. Over $21,000 was raised for these children total. It was an incredible experience to see these kid's faces light up with joy and forget about their illness for a moment. It's the joy, service, and love expressed that helps me live my faith.
