Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in SLC UT. I am the first female in my family to serve a mission. I am serving in the Richmond VA mission.

About Me

I am the youngest of 6 kids. My parents divorced when I was young. I grew up in the church but became less active throughout high school. Decided to go on a mission after I graduated high school and gained my testimony of the church. I love sharing this gospel and sharing my testimony of it! I know It can change lives because it changed mine and so many others as well.

Why I am a Mormon

In my teen years I fell away from the church. I was always pressured into attending church by my dad and my grandparents. I don't like being pressured into anything. I always told myself the church wasn't for me. When I was 18 I decided I wanted to get more involved and start learning more. My brother was about to move down to Santiago, Chile for a couple of months and invited me to go. I took up the opportunity and went down with him. We walked everywhere while we were down there. Every Sunday we walked 4 miles to church (2 miles there and 2 miles back). The members we had met down there were so incredibly nice. The missionaries were so fun to talk to. I suddenly got this thirst for knowledge on the church, so I started doing my own research and learning from my brothers, both returned missionaries. Slowly after I started learning, I started receiving blessings in my life. I now see how these blessings have impacted my life. I eventually had started thinking that I wanted to serve a mission. Then one day I prayed to Heavenly Father and asked Him, if I should serve a mission and if this church is true. I then got this feeling that was so overwhelming I began crying. It was assurance that I need to serve a mission and that this is the true church. There are moments where I still get these feelings when I may be in doubt. But I know that this church is true and that God knows and loves each and every one of us and wants us to return to Him some day.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I am now serving a mission in Richmond VA, and loving every second of it!
