Hi I'm Emme

Creating music is my passion. You can catch me on a long run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college freshman who loves life! Playing piano, guitar, and singing everywhere are my trademarks. I also enjoy running, Ultimate, and long hikes. I feel blessed to have lived the gospel my whole life.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel gives me so much happiness! I have grown up going to church and living the standards, and now that I'm older I realize how lucky I was! I've always had that faith that God and Christ are real, that they are watching over me because I am a child of God! In my life, following the church's teachings have helped me overcome lots of challenges and made the hard times easier. I know if people follow Christ and his teachings that they will find more joy than they could find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I recently got my mission call to serve in Brazil! Also, I accompany the choir in my church, which is such a joy. Another thing I love is volunteering to help children read at school.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Emme
The purpose of Mormon missionaries is to invite others to "come unto Christ", to experience the light and love of Jesus Christ's gospel in their lives. When Mormons have this light and love in their lives, they can't help but want to share it with other people, similar to the same way someone would want to share something meaningful with their friends. Missionaries go from door to door or out on the streets to share this wonderful message of Christ with anyone and everyone who is interested in finding lasting happiness. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Emme
Being a Mormon is different. We believe God sent us here to have joy, to serve other people, and to go through challenges so that we can one day become worthy to live with God again in heaven. With this big-picture perspective in mind, Mormons are happier people! We live and make decisions because we know our end goal: to return to the presence of God and live with our families in heaven. When difficulties arise or when we make mistakes, we are not lost or confused. We know God will forgive us when we truly make an effort to change our lives to become more like the person He would want us to be. I can't imagine my life if I wasn't a Mormon! Show more Show less
