Hi I'm Kami

I grew up in the Salt Lake Valley in Utah and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college in Utah. I am studying dietetics and exercise science. I love sports and played volleyball and ran track all through middle school and high school. I love to paint and sing and have participated in many different choirs. I also love to cook.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find purpose in the gospel. I know who I am because of my Heavenly Father and His plan for me. I am a child of God and He loves me and all of His children. I am a Mormon because I know that I am not alone in this life because of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon brings me so much joy and happiness and peace that I could not find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

My current calling is in my single's ward and I am on the Linger Longer committee, which means I help set up activities after our church meetings on Sunday where people get to eat and meet each other. I enjoy going to church classes throughout the week and I love to read my scriptures each morning and night.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

The Mormon church reaches out to those of our own faith, and to those of others all around the world. The Mormon church has donated more than $1 billion in cash and material assistance to 167 different countries in need of humanitarian service since it started keeping track in 1985. Many of these countries have few to no Mormons, but are also non-Christian. More than 53,000 Mormon missionaries serve throughout the world today and they are called to teach and serve those who are not part of the Mormon Church. Mormons are given many opportunities to reach out to those not of our faith and do it with willing hearts. Show more Show less
