Hi I'm Andy

I was born and raised in Utah, served a full-time mission in Brazil, and I have been a Mormon my entire life.

About Me

I married my beautiful wife Emily in 1999. We love the Bible and Bible names, so we chose the names for all five of our children from the Bible: Gabriel, Noah, Eve, Esther, and Sarah. I love basketball, hiking, scouting, and reading. I also enjoy cooking, especially on the barbeque. One of my favorite things is family gatherings-the more the better. I love getting together with parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandparents. And I love seeing my children value these family relationships as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was raised in a strong LDS home and was taught from a young age to live the gospel and to love it. My life has been greatly blessed by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love the scriptures-especially the Book of Mormon. I have found that when I begin my day by reading the scriptures, I feel better about myself and about the world in general. It helps me to be more patient, kind, and optimistic. I have always been blessed when I try to follow the teachings or example of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I have loved my callings in the church. In my current ward, I have served as a Scoutmaster, clerk, and a member of the bishopric. I love working with the young men in the ward. I often have the blessing of teachings lessons about Jesus Christ to the young men in the ward and talking about his life at campouts.
