Hi I'm Alexis

I study Kinesiology, I want to go to medical school. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I enjoy cooking and baking. I love making things with my hands, especially in the garage. I love music, and occasionally sing, play piano and harp.

Why I am a Mormon

The church provides a lot of knowledge, and it requires me to focus on feeling as well as faith. Although, I tend to believe and focus more on my logical side (why I love the hard sciences), I believe that this is the true gospel. Even though it is hard to believe in things that are unseen, I know them to be true through faith and good deeds.

How I live my faith

I participate in church activities, although I do not feel like that is the big thing. The big thing is being willing to change yourself for the better, it is striving to be better everyday. It's being honest with yourself and others and always striving for perfection, even though that is not possible. It is possible to be better than yesterday, it is possible to repent, and forgive others. I think that is the example that Christ taught. We are supposed to love all people and help them to be their best. Understand that everyone does wrong, but that you can always choose to do right at anytime.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Alexis
No, mormons are not required to serve missions. However, it is encouraged and some people feel social pressure from friends and family to go. That being said, it is a personal choice to go. It is something that each person should pray and come to a decision with, in private with guidance from their Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
