Hi I'm Julia

I'm a pretty ordinary person, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm in my early 20s and I love ice cream. :) I am majoring in Civil Engineering at Notre Dame, but for the next year and a half I'll be a missionary in Oregon. I absolutely love snow, but I can't make a snowball (so I don't enjoy snowball fights all too much). I enjoy exploring, whether that be in the mountains of my home state or the concrete jungle of a city. I always lose my breath going up stairs. There are probably too many selfies on my phone. I own more socks than any one person should. I love playing board + card games, but if I can't coerce anyone to play with me, I'll play a game from the Zelda series.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot be anything else. Jesus Christ is at the head of this Church. It is His. I have experienced some of the sorrow and darkness that life can bring, but I have found light in my Savior, and in the teachings of the Church. Families can be together forever. Sins and mistakes can be forgiven. You are a child of God, and He loves you and wants you to return to your heavenly home. And we have been given the tools to do so! Being a Mormon brings me peace and hope.

How I live my faith

I try to always accept the invitation to serve, both in and out of the Church. During my sophomore year in college, I had three different Church assignments (or "jobs") for several months! And I've gotten really good at raking leaves and pulling weeds in the time I've been a Mormon.
