Hi I'm Marisa Steinberg

I grew up in North Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning, which has translated to me always being in school. I am studying actuarial science. I like reading and skiing and watching movies and spending time with friends and family. I play the piano and the organ and love playing it whenever possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have prayed about the church. My parents have raised all of their kids in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but I knew that I needed to know for myself if this was the church that I should be part of and participate in. I spent so many years in childhood and as a teenager gathering all of this information about the teachings of the church, and then one day I got down on my knees and asked Heavenly Father if this was where I was supposed to be and if the church was true. I felt the Spirit through a warm, peaceful feeling in my heart that this was right. Whenever I feel doubt slipping into my thoughts, I simply get down on my knees again and pray for that same reassurance.

How I live my faith

The most prominent and my favorite way of living my faith and sharing it is through music. I accompany the church congregation on the organ and love it. I am always so glad when people ask me to play the piano at church events, because music can bring the Spirit in such a simple, happy way.
