Hi I'm Ashley

I’m a family centered person. I’m a hardworker. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I have a huge family, I have eight siblings: four sisters and four brothers. And I am the proud aunt of a beautiful girl and two handsome little boys, they hold my heart. I left high school my junior year and got my GED, I then started going to college the next semester. I just recently graduated from the community college near me with my associates in general studies.

Why I am a Mormon

I think my story is pretty similar to others, in that I found what I was looking for in this church. When I was in high school, I struggled a lot, and I was confused when it came to what I believed. I grew up in this church and I didn’t know why all of a sudden I was questioning what I believed. So I searched the scriptures: the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I prayed and asked God to help me understand, and help me to know what I knew was true. It didn’t come to me all at once, I can’t pinpoint when I found my testimony. But I can tell you, honestly, that I know this church brings joy. Joy that you can’t comprehend until you experience it. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us so much we physically can’t comprehend how much. And because of His Love for us, He wants us to be like Him and return home to Him. So He sent His son Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Redeemer. Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, He suffered for our sins. And through that He knows exactly what we are going through and what we are feeling, He is the only one who can say he knows exactly what we are going through. I know that Heavenly Father gives us guidance through the scriptures and through His servants the prophets and apostles. I know that it was through a prophet, Jospeh Smith, that the church was restored to this earth. And he, through the power of God, translated the Book of Mormon that stands as another testament of Jesus Christ. I love this gospel, and it has changed my life for the better, I don’t want to know where I would be without it. But thankfully, because of our Savior Jesus Christ, we don’t ever have to know what it is to be without God. We can be forgiven of our sins and made clean before Him. I cannot wait till the day we get to stand before our Heavenly Father and have Him welcome us home with His arms wide open, what a beautiful and joyous day that will be.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church. I am currently a ward missionary, I help the missionaries teach people who are interested in learning about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I just recently got my call to serve a mission, so I will be able to go out and teach those who interested in learning more. But one of my favorite ways to live my faith is through service. My family and I constantly look for ways to serve. Jesus Christ set the perfect example, and I strive to follow Him every day.
