Hi I'm Laura

I'm a composer, I'm a runner, I'm the second daughter of five children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at college right now, not quite sure what my major is. My interests lie just about everywhere, but I've finally narrowed down my career path to the medical field :) My true passion lies in music. I have been playing piano since I was a child, and in my early teen years, I began to arrange songs. I also learned guitar. I developed this new hobby of singing, song writing and sounding out new tunes. My favorite thing to do in my free time is take a song that I love, change it, make it my own, and then record/edit it. I also have other interests. I love the outdoors. Hiking and camping are just the best. I also love running and exercise, even though I don't prioritize it as much as I used to. I am a lover of people. I will go back and forth from having busy weekends filled with social events, to some weekends where I just stay home with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me purpose in this life. It gives me hope and goals. My faith makes me a better and happier person. Because I'm a Mormon, I know who I am, and I know where I'm going and what I can become. When I feel confused, I know I have somewhere to turn, and the church gives me so much comfort and peace that I can't even begin to describe. I'm a Mormon because by being Mormon, I have learned of God's love for me through modern revelation. I feel that love immensly as I go to church, read the Bible, and especially as I read the Book of Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon, and by reading that book, I have become a changed person, a better person. By reading that book, I have found answers to questions that my soul has needed to hear. I'm a Mormon because the gospel it teaches is true, and I can feel it's truth influence my life positively EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm a Mormon because by being a Mormon, I feel peace and happiness, even through tough times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my habits of daily prayer and scripture study and weekly church attendance. I will be leaving shortly to serve an 18 month long mission for the LDS faith, where I will be teaching the gospel and serving the area I have been assigned to.
