Hi I'm Shelby Cameron

I am a Utah native. I love alternative music, singing, playing instruments, long boarding, acting, painting, and baking.

About Me

I love trying new things. I am an actor at heart. I love the everything about theater. It is such a personal and lively storytelling format. I have been in productions since I was a very little girl. I am most happy when making people laugh and the stage is a great medium to a achieve that. Plays and musicals remind me of the parables Christ taught in the bible. Everyone heard the same story, but so many different lesson were taken away. Theater is no different, everyone in the audience watches the same show with the same actors and set, but each person has different feelings, opinions, and memories surface. We are all so different but one thing does tie us all together. I am grateful we all have a lovely Heavenly Father who understands each of us perfectly. I am grateful that I can turn to him to help direct this great, confusing, frustrating, and wonderful production of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me all the tools to have a happy and fulfilled life. There is so much confusion in the world, the church is true and gives my a guide of how to go through life. We are a religion of faith, forgiveness, mercy, service, and personal conversion. I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today because I have asked God and received conformation. We have a prophet who leads and guides us just like the prophets of old. I am a Mormon because the teachings of the church bring hope to all. All who have felt shame, guilt, sorrow, or sadness can be healed by the power of the atonement of Jesus Christ. He is the Lord and Savior of all. I am a Mormon because I want to follow Christ and this is his church.

How I live my faith

I have always been a teacher. I prepare lessons about various gospel topics and teach on Sunday at church. I have been very involved in the Young Women's program the church has. Which is just for girls ages 12-18. Each year we take this group of girls and go camping for a week. This is called girls camp. I love being around the youth. They are all so fun and optimistic about life. I am currently serving a mission in the London England South Mission. In short I have dedicated a year and a half of my life to teaching others about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
