Hi I'm Sydnee

I play the violin. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I started playing the violin when I was 4 and the piano when I was 9, and I currently study music in college. I love spending time with my family, playing the violin, playing board games, paddle-boarding, and listening to Coldplay. I try to turn the mundane into an adventure! I love getting to know people and find it so fascinating to hear about the lives of others. I have the most amazing family and friends, and I love being around them. I became sick while I was in high school, and spending time with amazing doctors and nurses inspired me to reach out to others. I strive to make service a part of who I am, not just something I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. When I read the Book of Mormon and live the standards, I feel joy and peace. In my darkest, loneliest times, I have read the Book of Mormon and felt peace that exceeded my loneliness and sorrow. I feel the safety and joy that come from obedience to commandments and I have seen the blessings flow as a result of my obedience. Being a Mormon gives me such joy and peace, no matter the trial I'm going through.

How I live my faith

Every Monday night, I plan an activity for about 30 young single adults. We gather together once a week (Monday night), have an uplifting thought, pray, and then have a fun activity, such as going to a pumpkin patch, singing karaoke, or caroling to neighbors.
