Hi I'm Joseph

I'm Georgia born and raised. I am the third of five brothers who all played lacrosse. I went to BYU in Provo, Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or the Mormon church, for my whole life. I have recently been attending college out in Utah. I absolutely love anything that reeks of adrenaline. I could never get enough time on the lake wake-boarding, tubing, or wake surfing. Five hours crawling through a cave never feels like too much. I always want to go on another run down the face when rappelling. I have played sports throughout my whole life, specifically soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, and football. I also have a soft spot for musicals. I know most of the lyrics to most of the musicals you could think of.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have a member of this church my whole life, my conversion didn't happen until much later. I have mostly floated through the majority of my young life; I didn't push myself in any aspect, including school, sports, or the church. I did only what was asked of me - no more, no less. It wasn't until I began to push myself that I began to see the results that I wanted. I started to do the small and simple things I've been taught my whole life with more conviction and drive. I began to pray more fervently, to study the scriptures more in depth, and I began to find even more ways to serve others. As I did these things, I began to experience an even greater feeling of joy and peace that I have been unable to find anywhere else. Yes, I still have my ups and downs, but when in those darker moments, I strive even harder to reach that sense of peace and joy. I wish for all to receive the same feelings that I have experienced.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life, I have tried many different ways to live my faith, and most of them focus on serving/ helping others in some way. I think I've helped more people move than most moving companies. Within the church, each member has an opportunity to serve in different capacities that will help others. I have been able to serve in many different capacities that allowed me to serve in a different way. Through the church, I have also had the pleasure of traveling to Louisiana to help with flooding relief, and to Florida to help with hurricane relief. I love serving others, and seeing the joy brought to them through my service.
