Hi I'm Emily

I'm studying to be an English teacher, I like to dance and sing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, run, dance, and sing. I'm a college student studying English, and I want to be a teacher and write books someday. I have one sister and one brother who are my best friends, parents who I absolutely adore, and a darling little dog who never stops barking. I love to be outside, I'm a huge fan of chocolate milk, and my favorite color is green.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because knowing the truthfulness of this church makes me happy. I don't know where I would be without the knowledge that families can be together forever, our sins can be made clean, and we can obtain eternal joy by becoming perfected through Christ. I know that God lives, and that He loves us more than we can possibly imagine. He has a plan for us. He has provides us with a Savior to Atone for our sins so that we can return to live with Him and our families for eternity. We have the potential to become as He is, and I know that if we do what is right, this will lead us to unimaginable happiness. The gospel has brought me so much peace because I know that no matter what, someone is always there for me. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, knows exactly how we feel when hard things happen, and there is always somebody we can turn to who understands perfectly. Trials come to make us stronger and build our character, and by responding with humility and optimism, we can come to learn to rely on Christ and develop a relationship with Him that will enable us to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit more prominent in our lives. I know that God has called prophets to teach us these ways in which we can strengthen our relationship with Him, and by doing what they say, we will be blessed. I know that even when we think hope is lost, when we feel alone, and when there seems to be nowhere to go, when we pray with sincere intent, God hears and answers us. He wants us to return to live with Him so that we can be happy, and I know this is true with all that I have. The gospel brings me indescribable peace and joy, and I hope to be able to share that with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings, doing my visiting teaching, and singing in ward choir. I try to serve others and be kind to those around me. I share my thoughts and participate in class, and I like to take notes so I can look back on what I've learned.
