Hi I'm Kevin Bush

I grew up in Saint Louis. I am a competitive shooter. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a competitve shooter. Before I left on my mission, I was an avid hunter and fisherman when I wasn't in school or working at my two jobs to help support myself on this journey.

Why I am a Mormon

There was a time in my youth when I questioned this religion. I had other people that were leading me to believe that, maybe, something greater was going on outside of this church. I had a girlfriend who was of a different religion and, to appease her, I began looking into attending their church. I had taken to the bible explicitly, trying to find things in it that went against the teachings of this church. Through this time, I experienced a lot of confusion and even anger towards my God and even my family. I prayed and prayed asking why these things were happening to me. I felt instructed to open the Book of Mormon. I began reading and soon, the Spirit entered my heart. It had been quite some time since I had that feeling and it was amazing. I now look back at the passages I highlighted in the Bible that I though disproved the teachings of this church, only to laugh and realize that it is only proving my belief right, that this is the only true church of God. As I progressed in church and attended more meetings and went to Seminary, I realized more and more truths about the gospel and had a stronger faith in the Lord. I now know of a surety that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and that God chose Joseph Smith to restore this everlasting gospel.

How I live my faith

I am the assistant choir accompanist in my ward. When my mother is sick or unable to provide the music, I'll step in and play for them. When I was in Boy Scouts, there were many times my troop would go and do service projects and we were able to do these things because of the support of the church that sanctioned the scouting program.
