Hi I'm Kellie

I grew up in Illinois. I go to school at BYU. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have moved a lot in my life but I would call Illinois and Utah my home. I have four siblings and a dog, and I love all of them. I love to run, specifically long distance, as well as hike. I go to BYU and study geography. I love to learn about the world! I am going on a mission preach the gospel in the Philippines and couldn't be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church and have the fortune of having many great examples of faithful servants of the Lord in my family. I have come to find out for myself that this is the place where I feel love and peace and joy. I love to read the Book of Mormon because it is very applicable to my everyday life, even though the teachings are thousands of years old. I know that the sacrifice that following the commandments requires is worth every bit in the end. I know that through the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I, and everyone else, have the opportunity to live with my Father in Heaven again. My soul longs to be with God again, and I know that I can be if I will be obedient and diligent in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to do service and visit the girls in my ward. We have socials where we get to connect and learn about each other and how to better live the gospel. In church I participate by sharing my thoughts and experiences. I love the spirit that comes with sharing my heartfelt testimony with others.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The purpose of this life on earth is to accept the gospel and become like Christ. The only way for people to know that this is how we can return to live with God again is if we tell them! God wants every single one of His children to return to live with Him. We want everyone to feel the joy that comes through living righteously and repenting of our sins. Most importantly, we want everyone to know that God loves them so much and has a plan for them so that they can return to Him. There is always hope and there is always a way back. And, God will always love you, no matter what. Show more Show less
