Hi I'm Kira Ganschow

I am from San Francisco. I'm currently a missionary in Baltimore, Maryland. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Northern California for all of my life. When I was 18, I moved to Provo to go to BYU. I was there for a year and a half studying nursing. I love that I am studying a field where science and love can mix together. I'm now serving a mission in Baltimore, Maryland. As I was growing up, I was in several singing groups and took a few years of voice lessons. Singing is one of my favorite ways to feel and spread the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

When you're born into the church, sometimes it's hard to pinpoint an exact time that you were fully converted. But as I grew up and learned more and more about the church, I did get to a point where I believed in essential truths of the gospel. This helped me to form a foundation that my testimony could grow on. Different aspects of the gospel are confirmed to me in different ways all the time. I am always learning more about Christ and his church. I continued to be a member because the church has only ever provided me with safety, purpose, and comfort. I find safety in the guidelines that God has given us to follow, such as the word of wisdom and law of chastity. I find purpose in God's plan for us; the church has taught me why I am here and what I must do before I return to God. I find comfort in learning about Christ's love for his children. A love that was so deep that he would suffer all of our sins and afflictions. This church is true, and I could never deny that it isn't. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had several callings in the LDS church, including teaching and organizing activities. The LDS church provides an amazing community of people that are all looking out for each other. Being able to assist other people and have a support system when you need it is amazing. Now, I have decided to serve a mission so that I can bring the gospel to others. I'm excited to serve and to share my testimony of this church with those who need it.
