Hi I'm Michaela

I am 18. I am a full-time college student studying business. I have been called to the Oslo, Norway mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and am pursuing a degree in business management. I am the oldest of 5 kids in my family. I play the guitar and sing and have been involved in many choirs and other performing opportunities. I love to hike, run, ski, cook, camp, play soccer, and travel. I am very passionate about service and have been involved in many service projects. I recently participated in an HEFY trip to Samoa. I love to write and tell stories, as well as take and edit photos. I have been called to serve in the Oslo, Norway mission in June 2018. I am incredibly excited to serve the Norwegian people and teach them about this life-changing church and all we believe in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because no where else in my life have I been able to find the peace and understanding that I have in the LDS church. I have been a member my entire life, but everyone has a conversion story where they found and new for themselves that this is the true church and that nothing else in the world can even compare to the love and unity found here. I can't imagine living without the knowledge I have. This world that we are all living in is full of corruption and misleading information that drags people down and causes discouragement and loss of oneself. Through Christ and His one, true church, however, there is no need to fear. He is our King and Savior and will deliver us as long as we continue to follow Him and strive for a perfect faith and love for Him, as well as all those around us. I know that this is the restored church and that Joseph Smith was visited by angels who led him to bring the one, and only, true church back onto this Earth for the benefit and saving of souls. He was a young boy, but he was guided and prompted by the Spirit who aided Joseph. I know that He translated the Book of Mormon and that this book is the "keystone to our religion", as President Thomas S. Monson said. Without it there is no faith, hope, or understanding of the joyous blessings of the gospel. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ dwell in every word, on every page of the Book of Mormon. They are living and they live through us as we, the latter-day saints, continue to spread and teach the gospel to those who do not have this knowledge. I know that because of Christ's atonement, we will all be saved. We are not alone. Jesus bore the sins of the world so that we wouldn't have to. He did this so that He could help us overcome any, and all trials that we will face during this life on Earth. This is not a perfect world, and we are not perfect people, but I know that through Christ, we will be perfected and saved and return to live with Him. Isaiah 12:2

How I live my faith

I am currently attednding a Young Single Adults ward. I am currently the choir president and am in charge of assisting the director with the selection of songs and the actual performance. I am also a visiting teacher with my companion. We share lessons every month with our assigned ward members for that month, and check in to see if they need any help or extra attention in any way.
