Hi I'm Diane

I enjoy traveling with my husband and spending time with our 5 children and 12 grandchildren.

About Me

I am happiest when my entire family is seated around our table enjoying a home-cooked meal. One of our favorite family traditions is making cinnamon rolls on General Conference weekend, then gathering around the TV to watch conference and enjoy the cinnamon rolls. I have enjoyed sewing since I was a young girl. I find joy in creating beautiful dresses, quilts, suits, etc. for my family and friends, and costumes for school choirs and musicals. Now I am teaching my grandchildren to sew.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a happy person. I believe that living according to the principles of the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints keeps me on the path of happiness. When I serve others, I am happy. When I read the scriptures, pray, attend church meetings, and follow the Savior's teachings, I am happy. I know that Heavenly Father loves each of His children and will guide us in our lives if we will pray and ask for that guidance. He wants us to return to Him. The gospel principles found in the scriptures are the best "manual" for raising children.

How I live my faith

Service is unique in that both the one who serves and the one who is served feel happy and loved. I find great joy in teaching children about their loving Heavenly Father and their Savior, Jesus Christ through music and the scriptures. I also enjoy helping cub scouts and Boy Scouts become leaders and good citizens. My husband and I serve in the Temple each week, and I feel Heavenly Father's love as we serve there. We have received an assigment to serve as missionaries in the Philippines. I am currently preparing to teach a group of women in our congregation about how we can keep the Sabbath Day holy.
