Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Filipino. I'm a director for television. I'm a pioneer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Bellevue, Washington, and grew up all along the western United States. I'm studying broadcast television in Boston and have produced and directed a variety of television shows. I am the son of two converts and am the first in my family to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I lived in Los Angeles as in-home caregivers in an attempt to save up money. When we couldn't afford to live there anymore, we had to move north to rural California. Because we stayed true to the teachings of the church, paid our tithing, and attended the temple regularly, we have been able to save up enough to pay our bills and send myself and my brother to college.

How I live my faith

I grew up serving my community in the Boy Scouts of America and on my own. Since receiving the rank of Eagle Scout, I have served in my church as a teacher to others and assisting our missionaries when they visit with others. Through small and simple things, the Lord blesses me with more and greater blessings than I could have imagined.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Both men and women have unique responsibilities in the Lord's church. While men have the responsibility to administer priesthood ordinances, women have the responsibility to provide support and assistance to others in need as well, as part of the largest women's organization in the world. Both men and women have access to the blessings that come from the responsibilities of either gender. Since a man can not administer a priesthood ordinance to himself, there are no blessings that come from receiving a priesthood ordinance that women could not receive. Show more Show less

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church as it was established during his first coming. By revelation from Christ through Joseph Smith in the 1820s, Jesus Christ's church has been restored to the Earth today. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Our Father in Heaven loves each and every one of his children and wants to be with them all in Heaven after this life. God has ordained marriage between a man and a woman and has given us the sacred power of bringing new lives onto the Earth. We want to help all develop a loving God-sanctioned marriage and bring about its very purpose, creation and support of families. Show more Show less
