Hi I'm Landon

My name is Landon Stucki, I was born in St George Utah but have grown up in Nampa Idaho, I like parkour, soccer, and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Landon Stucki, was born in St. George Utah, but have been raised up in Nampa Idaho for the past 13 years. I was introduced to soccer in kindergarten and have since fallen in love with it, I played all throughout Elementary, Middle school, and our High School placed and won in our State Tournament also! I also fell in love with Adrenaline, I have always loved to do things that get my blood rushing. Things like wake-boarding, cliff jumping, parkour (a style of gymnastics), hunting, and I've always wanted to go skydiving. I leave on my mission on the 30th of January to the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission training center where I will be taught to help bring others to feel Gods love and have the opportunity to come to know him.

Why I am a Mormon

A lot of people think that I'm a Mormon because I was born into it. That I didn't have a choice. Well I had a choice at 8 years old to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And I have never regretted that choice. I love my father in heaven, but I can't possibly imagine how much he loves me. He sent his chosen son, my brother Jesus Christ to come down to this earth to die for me. To bleed out of every single pore of his body and take MY sins, and every single person that exists, or will exist on this earth. He bled for US, that we can repent of our sins, and make it back to our eternal family after this life. He makes a path for us to follow, but gives us agency so that we may decide of we want to follow. He promises us that if we do follow, we will be blessed with a clear mind, peace, and the most joy that can be felt, his love. I have felt his love for me, I have felt that everything that I have been taught is true, and above all, I have come closer to god by reading and following his word through scripture study, he has testified to me personally that I can make it back to him, that I am not to far strayed off the path, that I'm lost forever. Though we may feel lost, never forget that Christ knows exactly where are, and he's calling to us. All we have to do, is listen.

How I live my faith

I was born into the LDS faith and have loved it my entire life. Ever since I've heard of a "mission" I've always wanted to go on one, now that I am leaving very soon, I am getting a lot more nervous but my desire to teach and be one of our fathers servants stays strong.I have served in my church in many callings that help me to realize my duties here on this earth and the jobs, and responsibilities that I have to help others.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Landon
The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints preforms baptisms for the dead for those who have passed on and cannot receive the ordinances on earth, they wait in the spirit world to have the opportunity to receive the blessings from baptism that are preformed by those in the temple.
