About Me

Miss Face of Africa USA; Human Development, Fashion & Travel enthusiast. M.B.A & Entrepreneur

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert; raised in an active Christian home by loving parents and ministers of God, of a Pentecostal Church. I had a personal relationship with Christ before I joined the LDS church; and I believe that my current presence within the church is a progression of my knowledge and Faith in Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I believe I was led to the church by Christ himself, not man. I'm a Mormon because members believe in JESUS CHRIST and TRULY strive to live his WORD; he said, "...by their works you shall know them..." and truly within this Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint is where I've seen the most example of the love of GOD in action by Christians. I'm a Mormon because I believe joining the church has given me a greater insight into who God is, his work here on earth and his plan for our lives, as humans. I'm a Mormon because the church doctrines, ordinances and covenants with Christ challenges me to be a better Christian and human being. I'm a Mormon because I see spiritual and physical growth manifested within my life as I Learn, Practice his word, Love and Serve others. I'm a Mormon because some of my deep unanswered questions about God, Christianity, the Bible and Life were answered with the Book of Mormon; and are continually being answered as I grow spiritually and partake in Temple work. I'm a Mormon because I questioned the Book of Mormon, the Church's Past History and I even became inactive, yet I couldn't fight the Spirit's continuous pull to come back. The Lord wasn't done with me, I hadn't fully surrendered to him to be the teacher; my mind had been clouded even though my heart was thirsty for knowledge. God truly knows each one of us; like the good shepherd that he is, he "left" the 99 and came looking for me. I finally let the lord minister and I made it a priority to listen for his voice [not out loud, but deep in my heart and mind] One day while scripture reading, the holy spirit ministered, and instant peace flowed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by daily reminding myself, whose I am! And choosing to show my love and appreciation for God's Grace, Sacrifice and Love by improving my behavior to reflect righteousness; while consciously taking time out to learn more about God's work on earth and his plan for my life here and in the life beyond. Heaven is the Goal; so I choose to stay alert and remain on the right path.
