Hi I'm Sam

I was raised in Montana. I try spend as much time as I can in the outdoors. I love to ski, fly fish, and serve. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm happiest when I'm fly fishing in a river, or skiing with friends on a powder day. My parents instilled these passions in me as they raised me. I've attended several semesters of university, and enjoy studying my topics of interest. I'm very close to my parents and my two siblings. We spend a lot of time together, and always enjoy a fun game of cards.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by my parents. They are very active in their callings, and strove to keep a gospel centered home. My parents' teachings and personal trials have given me a sure knowledge of this gospel. When I was a senior in high school, my younger brother was diagnosed with brain cancer. He and my mom took an emergency flight to Utah to receive treatment. It was very difficult to see so much pain and suffering during his three months of treatment. However, the prayers and fasting of our many friends and family could be felt. My brother was cured of cancer, and is in great shape now. There is no way my family could have gone through this ordeal without the spirit and knowledge of the gospel to comfort us. In this world of trials and tribulation the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to feel peace. Questions that trouble the world today can be answered by the scriptures and Christ's teachings. Being a Mormon allows you to experience pure joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Christ. In my church leadership positions I always treat others with respect and kindness. I believe it is very important to let others contribute and feel valued. If everyone is part of the effort, everyone is strengthened spiritually. Always think of others.
