Hi I'm Anita

I grew up in Irving Texas, moved to Greensboro North Carolina in 2013. I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired Pharmacy Tech after 13 years with WalMart. I Have 2 grown sons and 2 grown step children 18 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Before my husband passed we did a lot of traveling seeing all 48 states, and some of Mexico and Canada. With having children spread across the US we always had somewhere to go. My hobbies are of course geneology and crochet. I enjoying making blankets and giving them away to nursing homes and dialysis centers. If I pass a cemetery I have to turn around and look for older graves to see any familiar names. I will talk your ear off on family history and stories some quite funny and my ancestors lived a colorful full life. I love going to museums and National Parks.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized as a young girl but with my mother invalid going to church was infrequent. I married my husband who was not a member but looking for guidance. It was a great opportunity to relearn what the church was all about, and I regained such a great testimony of the church. As my husband grew so did I. We were married in the temple in 2005 and I knew without a doubt that eternal marriage was a gift from God that as long as I live a worthy life that I could rejoin him after death, what a great gift. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and the Church of Jesus Christ is true. It was restored to this earth and has all the teachings that Christ himself taught while on this earth.

How I live my faith

In my younger years I worked with the Relief Society in various support rolls always willing to help when asked. Work and family requirements kept me from holding some positions but would help as much as I could. After moving to North Carolina my husband was very ill but the Bishop found me a position that I both enjoyed and was flexible when needed. That was working in the library, thou a minor position I enjoyed it very much.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Anita
Knowing that your spouse and family will be with you after death is the most comforting thing God can promise us. If we live a worthy life then we will be reunited. What a great joy this brings. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Anita
Eternal life is the greatest promise given to us. Repenting to God for your transgressions, changing your life to be worthy, living the teachings of Christ or just a few things to obtain eternal life. We will be judged on our deeds in life, what we do for out fellow man, how we treat others that might be different, and how we live out personal life. Show more Show less
