Hi I'm Kirsten

I grew up mostly in Arizona and Washington. I love the outdoors. I'm a daughter, sister, and new aunt! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I currently live in Washington and have recently been called to serve in the Philippines Olongapo Mission. I have been working the last year as well as finishing up high school and college. I went on a 10 day service trip to Cambodia where I was able to help build a sports court, it was an amazing experience and I loved serving the people! I love the outdoors and love all things travel. So that's the basics of me :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have chosen to continue to follow the gospel because of the peace I have felt in my life. I have been very lucky to have the church in my life, and am so grateful I have been able to find out it's truthfulness for myself. Something I love about the church is that love and hope are the main beams of light I see from His gospel and teachings. One of the things that help me to know this is the existence of temple work for ancestors. It comforts me to know that God loves all His children and has provided a way for all of them to return to him some day. The simple truths of the gospel all come down to love, which is something that brings me so much peace knowing I am a child of God and have a purpose here on earth to love and serve others. The hope of knowing everything happens for a reason, and everything will work out how it's supposed to, is so comforting to me in a world that can sometimes be so scary or hopeless. That hope and love is what keeps me going in the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. Something I do at church is serve as a visiting teacher, which basically means visiting sisters in the ward and do anything I can to help make life a little easier. I love the friends I have made through this service! All of the sisters I've served have been such great examples to me.
