Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Provo, Utah. I love my family. I'm a member of the-Church-of-Jesus-Christ-of-Latter-Day-Saints.

About Me

I love playing my violin and playing soccer. I enjoy being outside, especially with family or friends. I like baking, being with little kids, reading, and being physically active. I also teach violin and babysit my little brothers. I love being a member of this Church!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up a Mormon. Where I live, nearly everyone is Mormon. However, I don't live this gospel just to obey my parents (though I do that too :) ). I love this gospel because I know it is true. The Spirit of God has witnessed it to me countless times and I feel that it is my duty to remember those times. I love the joy and service that goes on in this Church. Through my membership, I can find peace and discover my individual worth and divine nature. I can find what is best for me and find out where I am in God's eternal plan of happiness. I know that we are on earth to 'progress towards perfection and ultimately realize ... [our] divine destiny as... heir[s] of eternal life.' (The Family: A Proclamation to the world), even though I am still learning how to comprehend that better. I have a testimony of the importance of families and I am trying to work on always treating them with kindness and love. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and he did have visions of angels and witness the appearance of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. I feel the Spirit every time I hear the message of President Monson or any of the leaders in our church. I know that the Book of Mormon contains the fulness of the gospel and is the keystone of our religion. I am so grateful that I chose to baptized into this Church because it has brought me so much joy, peace, and comfort. I love this Church, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a counselor for the 14-15 year old girls in this church. I am grateful for that opportunity to be with and serve them. I also love to index records and do family history.
