Hi I'm Logan Parent

I love singing and dancing. My sisters are off limits to all boys not approved by me, and I am a proud Mormon.

About Me

I will soon be leaving my home and family to go on a full time proselyting mission. I have been working as a manager in fast food throughout high school to prepare for this new adventure. I love to sing, and dance. I was a part of my high school choir, and hope to continue singing throughout my life. My family consists of one fish, four sisters, and my parents. I love my sisters, and I try to stay involved with their lives as much as I can. While it may not be my favorite thing to help them pick out prom dresses, or talk about boys, it is worth every second when I see their beautiful smiles.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My mom, and dad took my sisters and I to church every Sunday. I loved hearing the stories of the book of Mormon, but It took a long time for me to choose to be a true Mormon. For most of my youth I went along with the crowd. I still went to church, and accepted responsibilities within the church, but I didn't want to be someone to just "follow the crowd." I wanted to find the truth for myself. I am a Mormon because I believe in the happiness, and hope that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not because my parents, or friends told me to. I believe in it because I have actively sought after understanding of Gods plan for us. It gives me peace, and warms my heart. When I live the commandments I can feel the Spirit, and my Saviors love for me. Like it says in James 1:5, "If any of you ask wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally." I asked for truth and understanding. This is how I became a true Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had several leadership responsibilities in the church as I progressed through my youth as presidents of my age group. I have also had the amazing responsibility of being a primary worker for the 10-11 aged boys in my ward. I would teach them lessons, guide them with their scouting accomplishments, as well as be a good example to the boys. I love meeting new people throughout my church meetings. While church is a place of worship, it is also a place of unity with your ward, and I love how its so easy to meet someone knew and make a friend. Along with my responsibilities over youth, every month I go out and teach family's I am assigned to with a companion. Its not just one lesson a month, because I am called to help these family, by being a reliable friend. If they need help mowing their lawn then I happily come to their aid. If they need advise or spiritual help, I am all ears, and have the priesthood so that I may bless them, and their homes. This builds both an amazing relationship, as well as my testimony of Christ, and how by serving Gods children, I am serving God and that brings happiness and comfort to me.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Logan Parent
Like Christ did with his apostles, (Matthew 28:19) we are called to teach all nations. Missionary work is to share the gospel and invite all to come unto Jesus Christ. Missionary's seek out those both interested, and ready to hear Gods plan of happiness for us. I will be serving a full time mission to go out and teach all nations. I look forward to both sharing the happiness I feel being apart of this true church, and building my relationship with my Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
