Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Utah, but I am serving a mission in Pachuca, Mexico. I know that Christ lives and he loves all of us. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Zach! I am a pretty normal guy, I grew up in Utah and I am the second oldest of 5 siblings. My favorite hobbies are playing and watching basketball, and spending time with my friends and family. I am currently serving a mission in Pachuca, Mexico, and I am so happy to be able to share the gospel to those that are searching for truth. When I return home from my mission I plan on attending college at Brigham Young University. I am so grateful for this gospel and I have been so blessed to know that I have a father in heaven who loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a great family with parents who taught me to read the scriptures, pray, and keep the commandments from a young age. While I was baptized at the age of eight, I don't think I truly received my testimony of Christ until I was a much older teenager. It is hard for me to pinpoint one individual experience where I received a testimony, some people can, but my testimony was received bit by bit as I studied the scriptures with faith and humility. I have learned that receiving knowledge from God takes persistent action and diligence. As I have worked hard to humbly search out the truth and apply Christ's teachings in my life, God has blessed me with thoughts and feelings that have testified to me that Christ did indeed die for me, and that The Bible and The Book of Mormon are indeed the word of God. I have found immense peace and happiness in the knowledge that Christ is my savior, and I know that anybody who desires to learn can receive that witness of Christ too. I am so deeply grateful for the Gospel and the knowledge of the plan of salvation, it is an enormous blessing to me as I navigate through my life. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness of the divinity of Christ and a testimony that the fullness of his gospel has been restored to the earth. I am so very grateful to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try very hard to live my faith and help build the faith of others too. I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve in my home ward in many different ways. Before I left on my mission, I was a Sunday school teacher and taught the 12 and 13 year old youth in my ward, prior to that I was able to serve in various leadership positions in my youth groups. I have also had the opportunity to teach others in my ward as a home teacher. Throughout my time serving in these callings I have learned that I love to teach, and I have slowly been practicing to become a better teacher. My desire to teach others about the truths that I have learned is one of the reasons that I chose to serve a mission. Being a missionary is not easy, but I have found that there is immense peace and happiness waiting for us as we follow Christ and serve others. Serving others is one of the best ways to grow closer to God, and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to serve for two years as a missionary.
