Hi I'm Dennis Doyle

I grew up in Maywood, California. I attended BYU and became a teacher of English and French in Salt Lake City. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of seven children. I love music and play the guitar from time to time. I've been involved with sports much of my life, having taught tennis for many years and coached and refereed soccer for over 20 years. Although not an artist, I'm always asked to draw posters or design flyers for church activities. I used to do wedding photography, as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Catholic by my father. When my parents divorced, I moved to California with my mother and was taken to an LDS church by my grandmother. I recognized many of my friends from school with whom I had been playing and felt comfortable because of their friendship and standards. As I learned about the Gospel, I felt that I had always known it before. As I lived its teachings and prayed, I developed a strong testimony about my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and my purpose here on Earth. I have always felt great happiness and joy in serving others and have tried to be a true disciple of my savior. I know that Joseph Smith restored Christ's church upon the earth and that he translated the Book of Mormon to serve as a second witness of Jesus along with the Bible. Following the teachings of Christ has made me a better person and father and has benefited my wife and family.

How I live my faith

I try to read the scriptures daily and apply them in my daily life. I have served in many positions in the church. I've enjoyed working with the youth throughout my life. I served as bishop in my ward.
