Hi I'm Jodie

Beginning November 29, 2017, I will be spreading the Gospel in Moscow, Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Gilbert, Arizona, and from my first visit to the big city, I knew that I wanted to live in Manhattan as soon as possible. I attended college in New York for one year, studying International Relations, before deciding to serve a mission. I will be serving in the Russia Moscow mission and could not be more thrilled. Growing up, I played tennis, volunteered at animal shelters and read as much as I could. During my year in New York, I interned for the office of a US Senator as well as that of a mayor. I am interested in learning about politics, literature and culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to follow Christ and live the Gospel because it is the one thing that brings me happiness every single day. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ gives me patience, confidence and the capacity to love and forgive others. I have found that I am blessed beyond measure for my obedience to the Lord's commandments, and my relationship with my Heavenly Father and with my Savior brings me so much joy. I not only choose to be a Mormon, but choose to serve a mission as well because I would like everyone to have the opportunity to feel the bliss and certainty that comes from repenting and becoming more like Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently, I choose to live my faith by preparing to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. By reading the Book of Mormon every day and striving to help others feel the love of Christ through my actions, I am constantly reminded of the love that Heavenly Father has for each of His children. I am so humbled by the opportunity to be an instrument in the Lord's hands and help others feel the same hope and happiness that the Gospel has given me throughout my life.
