Hi I'm Mariah!

I am a Student, a Daughter, a Sister, a Friend, and an Auntie. I love being Active and I was born in and raised in New Zealand.

About Me

I am European/Maori and live currently in New Zealand. I am into my Third year of studying Psychology. Recently, I decided I would take a break from my studies as I felt as though I was not progressing or doing as well as I could be doing. This therefore lead me to feeling no sense of purpose or direction. The opportunity to serve a mission came. I have been called to serve in Australia Adelaide Mission and I feel a sense of peace within myself. I am so excited to share and help the people in Australia find their own personal purpose and direction in their lives as the Gospel is in fact that. It can help in all aspects of our lives whether it be in studying, life decisions, choosing friends, whatever it may be, it will help you find peace, purpose and direction in this life as it has done for me thus far.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I can not think of my life without it. It has brought me nothing but peace, happiness and safety here in this world. It would bring me much discomfort to have no knowledge of why we are here and where we are going? The Gospel has strengthened and guided me to know these truths and how I have come to know of these truths is through revelation from the Holy Ghost (that warm, good feeling within the heart). It has helped me during the toughest of times and also the best of times. It has helped me to also realize that the toughest of times help for our own spiritual growth, as every experience we go through is necessary for us to grow and learn from to become our Better selves. The Gospel can also bring You Safety, Peace and Happiness. One of my favourite scriptures found in The New Testament; Matthew Chapter 7, Verse 7-8, reads: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If you simply ask the Lord about the truthfulness of this Gospel with good intent and a sincere heart, it shall be given unto you as promised in this scripture.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by being what they would call a "Silent Example". I try show my standards through my actions rather than by voice. And quite often, people do notice a lot of the time the things we do, and this often can struck an interesting conversation and/or questions. Just an example, after a few times of going to my friends house, her mum said to me, "I noticed you do not drink Coffee. Why is that?" People notice the things you do and they will eventually respect you for the things that you stand by.
