Hi I'm Maliana

I grew up on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii with my family of 12. I love making people happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 5th oldest of 12 kids. We were homeschooled growing up and we always found some extra time to have an adventure outside. I enjoy surfing with my friends (even though I'm not very good) and making people smile! I am now preparing to serve a mission in Indonesia.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is the church established by Jesus Christ when he was on the earth and has been restored in its fulness by Joseph Smith in the Latter Days. I know that God knows and loves each of us individually. I choose to follow God because I love Him.

How I live my faith

I love serving others and being in the church, there are many opportunities to do just that. I have had a few callings in the church, as well as numerous service projects, such as: young women first councilor for almost 6 years, a young women secretary in the Miamaid class, and a chorister in my YSA Branch.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Maliana
Men and women are equal in the eyes of God. Just like men and women's bodies are different, so are their roles in the gospel, and neither one is any less essential or valued than the other. We each have our own roles and responsibilities and we are all important in God's wonderful Plan of Happiness. Show more Show less
