Hi I'm Siera

I grew up in Northern California. I have attended BYU-Hawaii for the last year and half. I love sports. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Siera Rasmussen, and I am child number 3/4 of my family. I am from a little town called El Dorado Hills, California. Growing up I spent a lot of time on the basketball court, on my families boat at the lake, and at home with my two big dogs. I graduated high school in 2016 and then headed off to attend Hawaii. Hawaii is a very fun place to live and go to school. I got the chance to go on hikes to waterfalls, go skydiving, and also swim with dolphins! It was a crazy adventure! I received my associates degree from BYU-Hawaii, but have decided to take a break in school and continuing my education in order to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. When I return I am planing on going back to Hawaii to get my degree in Elementary Education and to go on lots more adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It means that I get to be with my family for eternity. It means that I get to attend church and partake of the sacrament each week. It means that I can be happy because I know that my older brother Jesus Christ is always with me. Being a Mormon means that I get the opportunity to be a missionary and go out and serve the Lord and the lovely people of Argentina for a year and a half. And it makes me happy to get the chance to help others be happy by learning more about this gospel.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all that I do. I do this in ways like putting my life on pause and go out and serve the Lord for a year and a half. I live my faith by being friendly and nice to everyone I meet. I live my faith by keeping the commandments and striving to strengthen my relationship with Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven.
