Hi I'm Travis Tollestrup

I'm tall, energetic and love to meet new people. I love to listen to podcasts, travel and play basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of four children. I grew up in windy Southern Alberta, Canada and spent much of my youth working on the farm and playing basketball. I played college basketball in Idaho and Colorado and studied international business. I spent two years in Portugal and the Cape Verde islands as a missionary. I've been married for 21 years. I am a father of 8 children - 6 boys and 2 girls. I love to play Monopoly in real life and started a real estate investing company 15 years ago. We buy houses, fix them up and we're blessed to help people own their own home through our special financing program. My free time is spent coaching my kids in basketball, traveling somewhere new with the family and learning how to become a better real estate investor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that Jesus Christ lives. That he has restored His church to the earth today, exactly as it was in ancient times. That we have a living prophet today to guide us who is God's mouth piece to the world as well as twelve apostles. I feel great joy everyday because of this knowledge and know that I can be healed and forgiven of my sins through my Savior Jesus Christ's Atoning Power. I continue to follow His gospel because I know that my Father in Heaven has a Great Plan of Happiness not only for me but for all of His children - my brothers and sisters. I want them to know too about the great gift of free choice He's given them and how they can use it to make choices that will lead them back to live with Him and Jesus Christ for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by inviting others to "Come and See" how a relationship with Jesus Christ and living his gospel can bring great joy into their lives. I look and pray for opportunities to serve others who need my help. I teach my kids to do the same and I'm excited to have a son over in Accra, Ghana serving the Lord Jesus Christ as a full time missionary for two years.
