Hi I'm Abigail Wonnacott

i grew up as a military brat and traveled the world. I am now about to serve as a missionary in Chile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 4th of seven children. Three boys, four girls. Three of my siblings were adopted from Ethiopia when I was 12. Two sisters and one baby brother. My dad is a doctor and my mom is an incredible mother. I was born in the U.S. but didn't stay there for long after that. My dad just recently retired from the U.S. Air Force. I have lived in both Japan and Germany. I've been able to travel to many different countries and be introduced to many different cultures. My hobbies include basically all things music. I play piano, sing, and I love theater. I spent my high school years in Northern California. After graduation, I moved to Utah to live with my Grandparents. There I made the decision to serve as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the LDS Church. My parents made it their biggest priority to make sure my siblings and I learn the teachings of the gospel. The question is, why have I chosen to stick with this church after I grew old enough to make my own choices on religion. I knew from an early age that relying only on my parents faith in the church would never lead me down a sure path. I had to find out for myself if the church was true. It has been a continues process. I am still learning more and more. but I have prayed to Heavenly Father and I have felt the spirit confirm to me the truthfulness of this gospel. I have felt the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is the word of God. I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet, and that through him, the authority to act on Gods name was restored. I know that by living true to the commandments of our Heavenly Father, we will be blessed with eternal happiness. I know that because of this great plan God has made for us, we will be able to live with our families forever. I also know that Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer. He took upon all of our sins and pains, and then died so that we may be forgiven of our sins and then be resurrected. I know that both our savior Jesus Christ, and our heavenly father love us unconditionally. More than we could ever comprehend. They are always there to comfort us, to guide us, and to love us. We are never alone on this Journey. I know it, and I testify of it in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I attend my church services weekly and participate in different activities that the church holds. I have served as a ward choir accompanist in multiple different wards. As a youth, I served as the young women's president. This meant that I directed youth meetings and watched after the other young women in my ward.
