Hi I'm Tyson Anderson

I grew up in Utah.I'm serving in the Lansing Michigan mission.I have had the privilege to be raised, & am proud to be, a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mormon from Utah. I have 2 older brothers and 1 younger. I have wonderful parents that have raised me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They have taught me of the importance of the gospel in my life and, through sharing their own, have taught me of the importance of obtaining a testimony. I love to spend time outdoors with family and friends by what ever means possible. My favorite ways of doing so are through hunting, and playing soccer. I have 2 dogs. One is a german shorthair pointer named Grizz, and the other is a miniature goldendoodle named Bella, and I love them both very much. I speak a little bit of german, after taking it for 3 years. I love food, and like to cook..... sometimes. I am a Mormon and am proud of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my entire life. But I never truly was converted until I was about 16. I had gone to church but only because I was suppose to. I had gone through many trials as many teenagers do, and at one point I had felt there was something missing. That was a testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his Atonement, the truthfulness of the gospel contained in the Book of Mormon, and the role of the Prophet Joseph Smith as the Prophet of the restored gospel. As I received these feelings and acted upon them, not laying them aside, I began to study the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father daily, I arranged meetings with my Bishop and was able to feel of the light yoke of the Lord as talked about in the scriptures. I felt of my Saviors love for me. I was able, through that daily scripture study and prayer, to know of the truthfulness of the words contained in the Book of Mormon as well as gain a testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith who translated it, and his role as the chosen Prophet to restore the church of Jesus Christ, and it's teachings and doctrine, to the Earth today. I'm eternally grateful to my Father in Heaven for allowing me to feel of the spirit prompting me to come unto Jesus, and to rejoice in his restored gospel and the truths that are contained in it. I'm also grateful for his son, Jesus Christ, and His atonement that allows me to return to live with my Father above, to stand blameless before him, and to live with my family forever. I know that Jesus is the holy Messiah sent here to be a perfect example to us, and to fulfill the ends of the Atonement. That he suffered for our sins and over came the bands of death. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the words contained in it will bring great peace and joy. I know that Joseph Smith is the Prophet of the restored gospel and that Heavenly Father and his son appeared to a humble boy with a sincere question. I testify of these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by getting to know more about my Father in Heaven and his son, Jesus Christ, through studying the scriptures and praying daily. I also try to live my faith by magnifying my callings with in the church. But most I try to live my faith by showing my love for my Father in Heaven through serving his children. Whether that be through helping them with certain tasks or work, or through sharing the gospel with them through the way I live and the words I speak.
