Hi I'm Mark

I moved around a lot as a kid but spent a lot of my early life in Ottawa. I love to play baseball any chance I get. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a huge geek but also love to play sports. I have played baseball for ten years, and more recently have become a big badminton fan. I love to play board games whenever I can. One of my favorite things to do with my spare time is helping others move. It gives me a chance to serve others and provides a good workout for myself. I did well in high school and loved all my math classes. I have not yet applied to a university because I am going to serve a full time mission for the LDS church. I have been saving money and working hard for a long time in order to be able to have that experience. When I return I plan to become an engineer as that career suites my strengths.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a child my parents taught me about the church and told me that its teachings are true. As I grew up that was no longer enough for me, so I studied and prayed about the church for a long time. From this I developed a personal testimony of the church. I have seen throughout my life how much good the church does for those who believe in its teachings and even today it astounds me. If it were not for the church I would not have many of the skills and qualities I am most proud of today. I know that through my own experiences that this church is Christ's true church and that following it's doctrine will bring blessings to your live.

How I live my faith

I am 18 years old and have been a member of the church my whole life. During this time I have taught many lessons and lead many activities for youth. I have also given many talks during sacrament meetings at church. More recently I served as a teacher for a class of 7-8 year olds on Sunday. I routinely participate in any service activities I have the chance to, because I love the opportunity to serve my fellow man.
