Hi I'm Cole

I grew up in Utah, I love to rodeo and I enjoy sports. I also love hunting and fishing and riding my horses. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest child of 3. I am about to leave on an mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am an outdoorsy kid. I love hunting , fishing, and riding my horses in the mountains. I'll hunt anything from small game bird to big game animals such as deer, elk and antelope. Anything I have the opportunity to hunt, I will. I've grown up learning how to handle horses and rodeo. I love horses. I am a cowboy. I've trained horses and I enjoy doing so. I also love to rodeo. My favorite event is Bareback riding. I participate in it the most and it is the event I have been the most successful in. I won silverstate internationals rodeo my last year of highschool. I also won the panguitch invitationals series. My dream is to be a national champion at the collegiate level as well as the pro level and become a world champion cowboy. I also love my family! I love family gatherings and getting together for holidays such as thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. I have a firm testimony of Christ and his atoning power that has the ability to save us. I want to have my own family someday and get married in an LDS Temple to be sealed with my wife and kids for time and all eternity. I also love sports. I played baseball and basketball growing up as well as a little bit of flag football. I played baseball for one year in highschool and basketball all four years. I also participated in highschool rodeo my junior and senior year. Rodeo and basketball are my two favorite sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised by members of this Church(mormons), and I was taught all the teachings of the church. I grew to love the message of the gospel as I recognized the joy and happiness it brought me as my family spent time teaching me about the gospel. The gospel has been a light in my life and it is the one thing that has kept me going and made me truly happy. I believe that through repentance and baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ, marriage in our temples, and by keeping promises we make with our Heavenly Father(God) we can live forever with our families and God. I know in doing so we will all have our own challenges and struggles to overcome in this life, but I know that as we do our best to follow the example of Jesus Christ we can live forever as we make changes in our life little by little we can obtain the gift of eternal life given by and through our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Growing up I struggled to find steady friends, but as I prayed and sought out God and Jesus Christ I found peace and love, I knew I was never alone because Christ has sent a Holy Spirit(The Holy Ghost) to be with us if we so desire him to be with us and if we desire to follow Christ's kind caring and loving example. I was a curious teenager throughout junior high and highschool, and as I made my mistakes I found that my only consistent unchanging lasting joy and peace came through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my family as we have pursued becoming more like Christ. We all struggle in our lives and sin, but I know that through the Savior and help from church leaders we can be forgiven and as I have been forgiven through a sincere desire to change and follow Christ, the joy I have felt is so complete and everlasting! As I have matured I have found that this gospel is the only constant in my life, it will never cease To bring me and all of us Joy. I know there is power in sincere prayer and that God and Jesus Christ love us and want us to live with them forever.

How I live my faith

I participate in one of the church programs for male adults. I go home teaching which is going and teaching families about the messages that our church leaders have sent. In doing so I also check on the families I have been assigned to home teach. I make sure they are doing well and find out if there is something me and my phone teaching companion can do to help these families that I am assigned to or if there is something my church/church program can to to help the family with anything they are in need of. Now I will be going on a mission for the church to teach people who want to learn about the church, and to spread the joyful message of the gospel of Jesus Christ and serve those in need of service and to love his people as best I can like the Savior Jesus Christ would. This is my latest calling in the church and I will fulfill this calling to the best of my ability for the next two years.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Cole
The law of Chastity is a commandment and guideline God has given us. The commandment is that we don't participate in sexual relationships outside of the bonds of a legal binding marriage between a man and a woman. Sexual relationships are supposed to be reserved for after marriage of a man and woman legally and lawfully wedded as husband and wife. God has given us this commandment to protect us. We have been given the power to procreate(have children). It is a very sacred blessing and we should respect and be grateful for this blessing. This power to procreate should be used with care and at the right time. Having a child out of wedlock is a lot more difficult than having a child when you already have a supportive spouse. Children need a father and mother. That is the way God intended it. Families need a provider and a nurturer. A father cannot provide the same care a mother can, and a mother needs someone to provide for her and her children. Man and women need eachother to raise a family successfully and be able to teach them all they need to know to progress in this life and the life to come. Heavenly Father has entrusted us with a sacred power that is meant to allow us to have families and replenish the earth, it is not to be used for reacreational pleasures outside of marriage. Following this commandment will help us to avoid emotional pain and remain physically healthy. It also allows god to grant us many other blessings. Show more Show less
