Hi I'm Temily

I'm from the sunny Australia. I'm preparing for a mission. I was born and raised in the church and love it.

About Me

I am a 19 year old from the west coast of Australia, which have some of the best beaches in the world I might add. I am currently preparing to leave for my mission which is super exciting!! I've done one year of University studying Occupational Therapy and I absolutely adore it and can't wait to be thrown back into it when I come home. I love reading, it is one of my favourite past times, especially fantasy novels. If I allowed myself, I could probably hole up in a cave somewhere for the rest of my life reading. I love going to the beach with my friends and just enjoy spending time with the people that I care about.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this gospel. I have grown to know, over time that this church is true and I have a true testimony and knowledge of The Saviour. I was born and raised in this church and in the past it was very easy for me to take it for granted, to not appreciate it and value all the guidance and sense of purpose that has been given to me through being a believer in His Gospel. For a few years, my testimony lacked, I hadn't experienced a true conversion of my heart. In the end I made a decision, and through hard work, study, dedication, prayer and faith I have been able to grow my testimony to the point where I know for a surety that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real and that they love us, that this is His true church on the Earth and through faith and repentance we can one day return to live with Them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a great number of different ways. One of the most important ways is being an example, I am a representative of Christ's church and I have a responsibility to carry myself in a way that would reflect positively on The Saviour and His Church. I am called as a ward missionary, so I go out and help serve my ward and the people in my area with the full time missionaries. I enjoy visiting people and encouraging members to do missionary work. My favourite thing to do relating to my calling is to take part in the teaching and fellowshipping of Investigators and less active members. It brings me joy to help cultivate and nurture someone spiritually. I also live my faith by trying to love people. To just be there for them, not judging and being accepting and just showing people that I really care about them.
