Hi I'm Dakota

I'm from Dallas and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. God and my family are what is most important to me. I also love adventures and physical activities like hiking, football, skiing, and wakeboarding. I also play the piano and I love dogs.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was told all my life that it was true but I didn't really believe it at first. As I was struggling with my faith, I figured that the only way to know for myself if it was true or not was to read the book of Mormon and to pray about it. At the time I was thinking that if there really is a God then he will let me know if these things are true or not and if there is no God then I won't feel any different. I was about half way through the book of Mormon when I had the most profound feeling that everything I was reading was true. As soon as I had this feeling I stopped reading and asked God if it was true and an unmistakable feeling of peace washed over me entirely. Ever since then I have known that the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is the true church of God. The gospel is hopeful and joyful and makes me feel happy. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to everyone I meet by being kind and helpful. I participate in service activities at church and in my community such as picking up trash or donating to those in need. I attend church regularly and strive to be more charitable and loving. I also pray and read scriptures every day.
