Hi I'm Samuel

I was raised in Logan, West Virginia. I played basketball in school and achieved my eagle scout. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently preparing to serve a mission. I have received my call and will be serving in Utah. Southern West Virginia is the place I have called home so far in my life. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. I played basketball for the majority of my life. I started for my school's varsity team my sophomore year. I opted not to play the rest of high school for personal reasons. I also participate in Boy scouts and earned my eagle. Now I am one of the assistant scout masters in my troop. After my mission I will be attending college. For now the plan is to get a degree in biology and eventually go to med school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. My family was the founding basis for the church in Southern West Virginia when missionaries came in the early 1900s. Many of my family members have turned away from the church; however. I know it to be true and there is nothing that can convince me otherwise. I found for myself the church was true when I was about 14. That was when I first asked if the church was true, and like it says in the scriptures I received my answer.

How I live my faith

I am active in my branch. I fulfill all the duties in my callings. I regularly go out with the missionaries in my area to help teach.
