Hi I'm Synne Josefa

I'm a 19 year old girl. A life enthusiast. An art lover. But first of all, I am a proud Mormon and a future sister missionary!

About Me

As a girl with mixed heritage, I grew up in Norway and Brazil with my parents and 3 younger siblings. I’m currently living near Oslo. I am a creative person, so I use my free time to paint; write music lyrics; play guitar and piano; dance and sing. I also love to read, do family history and learn languages. Life is a tricky road that we all walk and after stumbling way too many times, I decided to be optimistic and always look at the bright side - this has been my attitude ever since, so you find me always laughing loud and smiling wide. For now I'm preparing myself for a mission, but my plans after my mission is to study Primary Education with Science and Arts as my master subjects.

Why I am a Mormon

I reach the peak of happiness whenever I do something related to the Gospel. I got so many experiences, opportunities, talents and people that I love in my life, because of the Gospel and being a Mormon! After several years suffering mentally, I only found salvation and a way out of it through trusting the Lord, grow my faith and find the optimistic perspective through the Gospel. So why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because putting my focus on being it, saved my life and now I want to share my story of happiness, trials and faith with others.

How I live my faith

Of course daily prayer, scripture study and go to the Institute two times a week. Every day, I’m wearing a necklace with charms that have symbols representing a female Latter-Day-Saint, which makes people curious. As we don’t drink alcohol, do drugs, smoke nor have sex before marriage, I stand on this as well and be an example for the youth in the church and my siblings. Also, I take every chance I can to talk about the church and the gospel; I try to serve others and be a source of optimism! Regardless of where I am, I talk with the people around me - this way I’m striving after Christ like attributes that will be shown through my behaviour. At school, I tried to be a part of the opportunities where I could contribute to the changes made, so I could be a representative for my beliefs. Even if I’m a LDS, I’m still a human. I believe we were sent to Earth to confront several trials and test our agency, but I’m not perfect. Decisions with bad consequences have been made, but I’ve repented, gained experience and happiness through this, and now I’m using this to help others to get happiness through faith in the Gospel and our Heavenly Father.
