Hi I'm Hannah

I grew up in Utah. Happily serving the Lord in the Florida Orlando LDS Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in Utah in a good home, with lovely parents who have been the greatest example to me and I am now 19 years old. My life has been filled with physical and mental opposition, ranging from a bone disease to clinical anxiety, but it also has been filled with beautiful and incredible experiences of overcoming those very things. I love to hike, bike, four-wheel, travel... anything to do with the outdoors really. I like to paint cartoon pictures of animals, cook yummy meals (mostly consisting of anything with chicken, cheese, and carbs in it) and spend time with little children. I am a certified medical assistant and work in a pediatric doctor's office and have loved every crazy, awesome second! My favorite noise in the world is a laughing baby, and my favorite smell is a home cooked meal. My dreams consist of marrying the love of my life, becoming a pediatric oncology nurse, bringing children into this world and teaching them the gospel, seeing with my own eyes every LDS temple built (so far 22/182), traveling this INCREDIBLE world, and overcoming anything this life can throw at me. I am currently off to serve a full time mission in Orlando, Florida, November 2017 - May 2019, speaking English, and I am PUMPED! Serving a mission is an honor and privilege.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the happiness found in this church is something I have never found anywhere else. I did grow up in the church. My parents taught me the teachings of the gospel and took me to church every Sunday. As a child, I knew nothing else was out there but this way of life. I did it because "that's what you do". As a young child I was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease in my hip which lead to several surgeries and a lot of anxiety. It took me on a long road of pain, anger, and suffering. It was in those moments I started to have beautiful experiences with the spirit and my testimony grew, but still the gospel hadn't clicked in my life. I wasn't making the choices of the gospel with a positive attitude or living the gospel to the fullest or with a sincere heart. Through the years of high school I continued to have beautiful spiritual experiences, but it wasn't until I was 19 years old that I became truly converted. I started to make gospel choices, on my own, with a pure desire to have the gospel in my life. My perspective has quickly shifted. The gospel is now everything to me. The truths I knew growing up became a cemented part of my life and my heart changed.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher to the 9 year old children in my church. I teach them all about the gospel and share with them my testimony of these truths. My goal as a teacher is to bring to them a strong foundation of their own knowledge and growth in the gospel, as well as make them feel loved as God loves them. I also visit a few other women in my church outside of church services. I share with them little articles or scriptures, but my biggest goal with visiting them is to help them feel the love of God and help them in any other way as possible. Overall, my goal in this church is to serve everyone, and bring about God's love, no matter who they are and what they do. As I serve my mission I hope to bring happiness, peace, and love to those in Orlando.
