Hi I'm Logan!

I have lived all my life in Arkansas. I grew up nonreligious and discovered Mormonism in 2016 when I was 16. I am a proud Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was a little kid, I always had an affinity for technology. This started off with video games when I was younger and I still am an avid gamer. More recently, I have taken an interest in coding and that somehow led me to an interest in physics and statistics. Unfortunately, those are all hobbies at the moment, but I do want to become better at them. I also happen to love music. I play the trumpet and try to sing. It so happens that I first met my mormon friends in high school band! Ever since becoming a mormon, my interest in religion has shot through the roof and I am considering a religious major in college. Right now, I am serving a two year mission in the Philippines!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to follow Christ and be baptized into His restored church because I know it to be true. My conversion began on day when I went over to a friends out to watch a few episodes of Gilmore Girls. That is a long story. After a couple episodes, it was about time for dinner. Her parents suggested that I stay over for dinner. I called my folks and they said I could. The local missionaries also had dinner with us that night. After we ate, one missionary tried to talk to me. He handed me a Book of Mormon and long story short, I set up an appointment with him and his companion the next day to talk about the Book of Mormon. A few weeks later I started to go to seminary. We studied from the Old Testament that year. Around the same time I also started to attend church with my friend and her family. I had never been to church much before, but this was different. I felt welcome and that I belonged here. Anyway from what was probably the end of November to the end of December or early January I continued to learn and ended up with a sincere desire to be baptized. The baptism ended up happening on January 24th, 2016. The reason that I continue to be a Mormon is because I have received many times answers to my questions that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Becoming a Mormon has made me a better person. I am able to bless others in ways that I couldn't before. I have come closer to my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I want to share with you one of my most valuable possessions. I share with you my testimony that we have a literal Heavenly Father that loves us more than we can possibly imagine. Because of God and His immense love, we have access to the Gospel. We have a Savior in Jesus Christ who also loves us. Because of His atonement, we can live with them again. I know these things to be true in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Since I am 18 years old, I am fellowship often with other young single adults around my age. We have various planned activities several times a week that help us get to know each other better and just have fun! Currently I serve as a sunday school teacher for small children at my local church. I also serve as an unofficial ward missionary with one of my good friends. I also go and teach a handful of families to check up on them and teach them every month and if they need help, I provide it. In a few months I will be a full time missionary for the Lord Jesus Christ. My duty will to strengthen other peoples relationship with God and Jesus Christ in the Philippines!

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a 14 year old boy who wanted to what church to join. When he read James 1:5-6, he prayed to know. As a result, he saw God and Jesus Christ. This began the process of the restoration of the gospel. He was eventually called as a prophet just as Moses or Noah or any of the prophets of the bible to receive revelation from the Lord and lead His restored church on this earth. Show more Show less
