Hi I'm Kristen

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I love to sing and play the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished high school and am preparing to serve a full time mission for the LDS church. I enjoy reading, singing, playing the piano, and spending time with family. When I return from my mission, I plan to major in vocal performance in college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who raised me as a member of the LDS church. I have always cherished the teachings of the church and tried my best to live them. As I've grown older, I've sought to know for myself that this is the one true church on the earth today established by Jesus Christ, and that this truly is His gospel. I have fervently studied, prayed, and pondered to receive an answer from God concerning these things, and as I have done so I have felt the Spirit of God testifying to me that this is His church and His gospel, that we are all His sons and daughters, that He has a plan for us, and that He sent His son Jesus Christ to redeem all mankind. I know that it is only through faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and receive exaltation in the life to come. I am so grateful for the truths of the gospel that bring me hope and help me to understand who I am and what my purpose is in this life. I am so grateful that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and afflictions so that I can rely on His strength and comfort in times of need and be made clean when I make a mistake. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most joyous and hopeful message in the world, and I hope to be able to share with as many people as possible.

How I live my faith

I serve on a committee that helps plan and organize activities for the members of our ward to participate in once a week. Some of the activities we plan include game nights, service projects, or participating in local events going on around the community. The purpose of these weekly activities is to provide a way for members to get to know one another better and create an wholesome and uplifting environment in which we can relax and have fun.
