Hi I'm Jarom

I am a classical/operatic vocal performer. I love to be healthy and exercise. I always have a joke to crack. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my friends. I love to volunteer as a counselor for conferences and other church youth gatherings. I love using my spiritual talents to uplift others and help others discover their importance in our Heavenly Father's plan. I love to snowboard, kayak, zipline, swim, sing, play the guitar and piano, watch movies, hike, weight lift, play board games, listen to music, write music, perform music, study music, do backflips, study the scriptures, listen to the words of general authorities, and write lyrics/poetry. I have been a member of the church since I was eight years old. I have grown to love and appreciate the gospel through service, study, and prayer. The gospel has brought so much joy to my life and only gives me more joy every day. When I broke my leg towards the end of my freshman year of high school, I felt like God was punishing me. My anger kept me from the feeling his love and comfort. It was when I uttered a humble prayer to Him that I was visited by my bishopric and my spirit uplifted by their faithfulness and readiness to be the Lord's instruments. That experience taught me a lot about trusting my Father in Heaven. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths." God has blessed me greatly with many experiences much like this one so that I can learn and grow and I know He loves me very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon is the word of God. "Mormons" are the most kind and generous people you will ever meet because of their willingness to follow our Savior and to serve those around us. People are not perfect, but through Christ you can see the pure hearts and intentions of all people and the purest hearts and intentions can be found in the Mormon church. It is a community of learning, personal growth, and revelation. Revelation is one of the many unique aspects of our church because it is the belief that we can receive personal witnesses from our Heavenly Father on what He would have us do. Revelation guides our prophet, general authorities, area authorities, and on down even to the little children to receive testimonies or personal witnesses from the Holy Spirit on the truthfulness of the churches teachings and just about any other righteous desire you can utter in prayer. Revelation has guided me and saved me from spiritual death and I would not be in the position or state of mind I am today without it and the keys to revelation can only be found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle Scout and I love to serve my fellow men. I serve my community in many ways. I love to offer council to youth who are struggling with difficult questions or even harassment from their peers. I know that because God made us all differently it can often cause others to think they are better than there peers or even have to drag others down to help themselves feel more adequate. I love to offer advice or even emotional support to these youth during this hateful time we are going through. I have served in many capacities in our church that have allowed me to be in this role and i have been blessed greatly for it.
