Hi I'm Lexi

I grew up in Utah. I love the outdoors, and I love to sing and dance. I participate in colorguard, and I love learning new things.

About Me

My name is Lexi. I love to dance, sing, and anything outdoors. I have recently been taking ballet, but right now I am enjoying colorguard. I just started high school, and I love my school, teachers, and friends. Seminary is the greatest! (If you ever have the oppurtunity, I highly suggest it. :) I have four sisters and three brothers. I love my family, and I am glad I get to spend every day of my life surrounded by them. My favorite scripture is John 14:11-21. I love the gospel because "we get credit for trying, even if we don’t always succeed.” - Elder Holland. I know that as we continue to live the gospel faithfully, we can learn to become more like our savior. We will become more loving, patient, meek, and happy. There are so many blessings God offers us if we are willing to open our umbrellas and quit hiding from the rain. I know that if we keep our covenants, God will keep his, and we will return to him. I believe that God is waiting happily at the gates of heaven with open arms to let us in. We are all children of God, and we are all equal to him. I know I have made so many mistakes in my life, and there are many more to come, but I know that if I want to be forgiven, and I repent, God will forgive me. He will forgive all of us. I hope all of us can look on the bright side, and see things positively. Life is hard, but we are given trials to grow, and learn. No matter how hard our trials may be, we can always get through them with a little help.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, and I have grown up hearing its teachings. I have stayed active because I know what the light of the Lorf feels, and looks like, and I hope to have it. I know our church is true because every time I read the Book of Mormon, or sing a primary song, I feel a light inside of me. I feel the Holy Ghost, and He tells me that the stories are true. Whenever I hear the story of Joseph Smith I experience the feeling of truth and hope. If you ever have the chance to go to the Manti pagent, please go. The story/play they show to explain Joseph's story, makes me feel the spirit so strong I can't forget it. I hope to someday participate in the pagent. I am grateful for the atonement, and the second chace it gives us. I hope that everyone can oneday read the Book of Mormon, and experience the Holy Ghost, and be taught God's teachings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my youth group. I serve as the secretary for my ward. We only have one presidency for our whole youth group, because we are so small. I am happy to help, but sometimes it is hard to juggle my calling along with all my other activities I do, but I continue to serve because it is always worth it in the end. It has always been a little hard for me, because I am the only one in my year at girls camp, but through this blessing, I am able to get to know more people, and feel more like I belong. It makes me so happy to see a new member, or to see one of the girls who is usually left out get invited to be in someone else's group. I enjoy planning the activities, even though it is a process. We have very few girls in our ward, so we focus so much on getting girls there, that it is hard to make it an enjoyable and spiritual experience for everyone. I am glad I have this calling, because it helps me feel closer to my Heavenly Father, and reminds me that I am part of something. Whenever I feel left out, or lonely, I can just call up the other girls in our presidency, or pray to Him.
