Hi I'm Doug Wilson

I’m from La Verkin Utah, married 35 years, raised 6 children, hiker, mountain biker, photographer, backpacker, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost I am a husband and a father. I have been happily married for 34 years and we have 6 beautiful children together. Our children are now grown up and 5 of them are now married and we also have 5 grandchildren. My wife and I are currently serving as missionaries in the Arkansas Bentonville Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been an IT manager, Project Manager, and involved in many aspects of management, technology and local government. What I love is photography and the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young man I felt a great desire to know if there was something more to life, if there was a God and if so, what was his plan for us. I found a book of Mormon and began reading it, I was only 16 years old, I read it cover to cover, twice. I felt the spirit and goodness in that book, and it testified of Jesus Christ and I felt that witness as I asked God if Jesus was the Christ. I was told yes. I then became became very involved in the Mormon church and I have been very happy about that decision every since. That was 40 years ago and the Lord has blessed me and kept me as I have shown my love for him by following in His Son's ways.

How I live my faith

I have been a Mayor in my community and also a Bishop of a LDS congregation. I have enjoyed being actively involved in my communit and making it a better place to live. I also enjoy serving as the Savior did by helping those in need or lifting others spirits.
