Hi I'm Kasmir

I was born under the desert sun, I write music, I play shows, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in the heat of Arizona, but I'm preparing to go on a mission and trade that in for the humidity of Florida. I grew up in the Church, but finding the love of Christ in my life and the truthfulness of the restored Gospel has led me to developing my own personal faith in it. I'm also an admitted music obsessive and can often be found hovering over my 7" singles. My favorite bands are The Smiths, Suede, and The Format. This love for music has also led me to create my own. I write music, play guitar, and sing, and I'm constantly working towards being able to do it professionally in a band.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I grew up in the Church, as I said before, but that isn't the reason that I'm a Mormon. You see, I'm a Mormon because of that almost indescribable joy I feel when I think of my Savior, His Atonement, and the Plan that has been set forth for all of us. From praying to my Father in Heaven to reading the scriptures, I can feel enveloped by love and comfort. This gospel blesses my life and without it, I don't know if I could ever be as happy. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, that Jesus Christ is my Savior and through Him comes Salvation, that the Book of Mormon is the most true book on the Earth, that Joseph Smith restored the true Church to the Earth, and that there is an eternal Plan of Happiness designed for you and I.

How I live my faith

"I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus", Children's hymn 1. I’m trying to be like Jesus; I’m following in his ways. I’m trying to love as he did, in all that I do and say. At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice, But I try to listen as the still small voice whispers, “Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught.” 2. I’m trying to love my neighbor; I’m learning to serve my friends. I watch for the day of gladness when Jesus will come again. I try to remember the lessons he taught. Then the Holy Spirit enters into my thoughts, saying: “Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught.”
