Hi I'm Kaylee

I just graduated from high school. I one day hope to get a nursing degree. I love to paint. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school. Yay! As strange as it feels to be done with that part of my life, I'm looking forward for everything that comes next. I've been working all summer to save money for college. After serving a full-time mission, I'm going to start studying to get a degree in nursing. The medical field has always interested me, especially since I was diagnosed with type one diabetes eight years ago. Adjusting to living with a chronic illness was challenging at first, but it's just a part of my life now. I enjoy oil painting, eating ice cream, and camping with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in this church. This doesn't mean that I've only stayed in this church because it's what my parents want me to do. I actually did go through a time when I questioned it. I saw the lifestyles of others and wondered what was really wrong with them. My knowledge of my Heavenly Father's love is what kept me here. I discovered that as I followed the Savior's teachings, I could still feel that love, but when I took a different path it, it always disappeared and all I would have left is an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. I have a strong testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for each of his children and that they know each of our hearts. I know that they have a plan for us. Sometimes they give us trials that we don't understand, but they're just giving us opportunities to learn and grow. I know that when we have faith and follow the Savior's example, we can overcome anything.

How I live my faith

My faith is the most important thing to me. I am constantly trying to make myself better and I have found that the best way to do that is through the Savior's Atonement. I try to remember him and his teachings through daily scripture study, pondering, and prayer. I try to be an example of his teachings so that I can share the love of the Savior with others so that they can become better through him too.
